AECS TEAM

ADVENTIST ENGLISH CONVERSATION SCHOOL

Teachers

All teachers come to AECS with a bachelor's degree and a government-recognized teaching qualification. The most widely recognized of these is the Certificate in English Language Teaching. These qualifications equip teachers with modern communicative teaching methodology, in-depth language awareness and a clear idea of what good quality language teaching should be. In order to ensure that teachers meet AECS' quality standards, all teachers are required to give a demonstration lesson when they first apply for a position at AECS.

Upon entering service with AECS, teachers are encouraged to continue developing their teaching skills through regular observations and attending regular in-house teacher development workshops. The focus of these workshops and observations is determined by the needs of the teachers and specific issues that arise in their teaching and by developments in the field of English language teaching that teachers need to be aware of.

AECS’ non-native speaker teachers are recruited according to the same process as the native speaker teachers. They must either have a recognized teaching qualification or previous experience of teaching, and are also required to give a demonstration lesson upon approaching AECS. Once they have begun working with a AECS school, they undergo similar training (observations and workshops)s.

We are currently looking for qualified native and non-native speaker teachers.
